This will be my fifth year teaching in District 92 and I am honored to teach for such an amazing district! I grew up in the Lockport area and attended District 92 "back in the day", so this has really gone full circle for me.
I graduated from Monmouth College in 2013 and was an RTI interventionist for one year in the Chicago suburbs. I then landed my first teaching job in a small town in central Illinois where I met my husband, Garrett. Before coming to District 92, I taught four years in second grade and one year in kindergarten. My husband eventually went from teaching to being a school administrator, which landed us back here in the suburbs. We lived in Wheaton for the past four years, and just this last month we bought our first home in Plainfield! We also welcomed our son, James, into the world last November. It is hard to believe he will be one year old in just a few short months! As a family, we love traveling and spending quality time together!
I absolutely love teaching kindergarten and it truly is a passion of mine. With that being said, I am so excited to be teaching Kinder at Walsh. This will be a year of learning, fun, and so much growth!
